MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Next Saturday is Championship Saturday for a lot of conferences, and for the Sun Belt Conference, it's come down to that day as well.

The Troy Trojans are right in the thick of things with a shot at the crown next Saturday against Arkansas State. It won't be an easy one as both teams enter with 6-1 conference records.

Appalachian State is also in the mix for the crown at 6-1 in conference, and is hosting Louisiana Lafayette next Saturday.

For the Trojans, they're fresh off a 62-9 win over Texas State Friday, and is one of two teams to not have allowed more than 24 points in a game this season.

Arkansas State will enter next Saturday fresh off a 67-50 win over Louisiana-Monroe. The Red Wolves beat the Trojans soundly last year on national television, a 35-3 dismantling of Troy in all phases of the game.

Troy is looking for payback and with a win, would also achieve 10 wins. The Trojans have won 19 of their last 24 games.

With a win, Troy would claim its first Sun Belt Conference title since winning five in a row from 2006-10.

Troy and Arkansas State will kick from Jonesboro next Saturday at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
