ENTERPRISE, AL (WSFA) - An arrest has been made in a Nov. 7 attempted murder case out of Enterprise, investigators have confirmed.
The arrest came after Enterprise police attempted to make a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle Friday. The vehicle, traveling on Hwy. 167 North, refused to stop.
Investigators said while police pursued the vehicle, a passenger bailed out and was immediately taken into custody. The driver, later identified as Brittany Michelle Pierson Magwood, 27, of Enterprise, was stopped a short time later and also taken into custody.
The passenger who bailed out was identified as Garrett Oneal Jones Arencibia, 23, of New Brockton. He was arrested on felony warrants for the Nov. 7 stabbing of his girlfriend and is charged with kidnapping, attempted murder, and possession of a forged instrument.
Magwood is charged with attempting to elude a police officer, reckless endangerment and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Both Magwood and Arencibia were taken to the Coffee County Jail.
