Auburn alum leads flyover at the Iron Bowl

When the Auburn Tigers beat Alabama this past Saturday 26-14 in the Iron Bowl, it took a well-executed game plan. Col. Brian Vaughn had a well-executed game plan for the flyover before the game, “It's all about timing. We'll start running in about four minutes prior to the end of the national anthem.”

Colonel Brian Vaughn, 187th Maintenance Group commander, lead four F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft from the 100th Fighter Squadron in Montgomery, Ala. on the flyover to kick off the 2017 Iron Bowl at Jordan-Hare Stadium. It was an extra special honor for Col. Vaughn who is a 1996 graduate of Auburn University.

“The entire season kinda revolves around the Iron Bowl. We can lose just about every game, but as long as we beat Bama, the season's a good season,” says Vaughn.
