MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The Montgomery Police Department has arrested a Talladega man in connection to a Friday homicide.

According to police, Cornelius Fain, 30, has been charged with murder after 32-year-old Vantrell Flynn was fatally wounded in a shooting Friday evening. The shooting happened in the 7000 block of Taylor Crossing, where officers found Flynn with a serious gunshot wound. He was taken to Baptist Medical Center South for treatment, where he was later pronounced dead.

MPD's investigation determined the shooting happened as a result of a domestic dispute, and investigators identified Fain as the suspect.

Fain was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Talladega on Wednesday and returned to Montgomery. He was taken to the Montgomery County Detention Facility and is being held on a $150,000 bond.
