MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - If you saw or heard a message play out on TV or radio about an "imminent civil threat" against Alabama Wednesday evening, there's no need to worry.

According to Yasamie Richardson, Director of External Affairs with Alabama's Emergency Management Agency, the EMA was performing a required test. Whoever was running the test, however, hit a button that made a Civil Emergency Message public.

The EMA assures the CEM was only meant to be a test, and there is no imminent threat against the state.
