What's Happening In Greenville?

Education is also a top priority in the city of Greenville. The city now has a fairly new high school. It's a 14-million dollar school where students can use a virtual library with the latest computer software. The school also has a prominent location, clearly visible to Interstate 65 traffic.

Just up from the school, is the city's brand new super Walmart, which has hired more people and increased city tax revenue. And Montgomery's Hyundai plant has also sparked growth in Greenville. Tier one suppliers, Hysco and Hwashin (wash-een) America, plus a tier two supplier, and trucking operation are already operating.

The city is also pushing its downtown modernization project. It's a plan to lure new businesses to downtown to fill several empty buildings. The city has also recently finished renovations to the old Ritz Theater.
