From a turkey sandwhich to a complete old fashioned turkey dinner, you can find it at Bates House of Turkey in Greenville. The restaurant opened it's doors back in 1969. Since then the Bates family has been using farm fresh turkeys direct from the Bates Turkey Farm to cook up dinners just the way your grandmother used to. The Bates Turkey Farm has been around since 1923. That's over 80 years in the turkey business. Farm owner Mr. Bill Bates says it all got started years ago when his great aunt gave his father nine turkey eggs as a wedding present! Now, five generations later, the farm is still operating with one purpose in mind, producing the finest turkeys to ever grace a table.
