NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Nikola Mirotic scored a career playoff-best 30 points and the New Orleans Pelicans pushed Portland to the brink of elimination with a 119-102 victory. Anthony Davis had 28 points and 11 rebounds in victory for the Pelicans, who lead the first-round series 3-0 with Game 4 in New Orleans on Saturday night. CJ McCollum scored 22 for the Trail Blazers.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama coach Nick Saban says he had a "very positive meeting" with the father of quarterback Jalen Hurts after a recent scrimmage. Averion Hurts said in a Bleacher Report article posted Thursday that if his son didn't keep the starting job, "he'll be the biggest free agent in college football history." Hurts has led the Crimson Tide to a 26-2 record as the starter.

(AP) - Iconic football programs Alabama and Notre Dame will meet in a pair of season openers, starting in a decade. The schools say they'll open the 2028 season in South Bend and 2029 in Tuscaloosa. Notre Dame holds a 5-2 advantage in the series but lost 42-14 in the BCS championship game to end the 2012 season.
