MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

A Montgomery man convicted in March for a 2016 murder will spend the rest of his life in prison, according to Montgomery County District Attorney Daryl Bailey.

Patrick Moore, Jr., 24, shot Keandrew Alexander, 26, a total of six times in the back while he was walking down Mill Street.

After bonding out of jail originally for the murder arrest, Moore led Montgomery police on a chase where he was eventually stopped and caught with drugs and a firearm. His bond was revoked until trial.

"Our city is a little more peaceful today now that Moore will no longer be causing terror on our streets," Bailey said.

Editors Note: This article has been corrected to show that Alexander was convicted of murder, not felony murder.
