Arrest made in Jan. 7 Montgomery homicide case

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

An arrest has been made in the Jan. 7 shooting death of 28-year-old Damion Clarke, the Montgomery Police Department confirmed Thursday.

Clyde Jones, 25, has been arrested and charged with capital murder in connection to the case.

Clark died on Sunday, Jan. 7 shortly after 5 p.m. in the 5800 block of Cherry Hill Road.

MPD and Fire Medics responded to the scene where they found the victim's body. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

An investigation found the shooting stemmed "from an altercation between parties known to each other," the police department said.

Jones, is being held at the Montgomery County Detention Facility without bond.

A mugshot was not immediately available.
