Date, time set for 2018 Raycom Media Camellia Bowl

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

WSFA 12 News has confirmed the date and time of the 2018 Raycom Media Camellia Bowl.

Sources tell WSFA 12 Sports the game will be once again televised on ESPN with kickoff being 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 15 at Cramton Bowl.

This year’s contest marks the 5th Raycom Media Camellia Bowl. The game goes back to the 4:30 p.m. kickoff that it had in 2015 and 2016. Last year, Middle Tennessee State defeated Arkansas State 35-30.

Historically, the Camellia Bowl has had a huge economic impact on the capital city, generating an estimated $10 million to $15 million annually for the city. 

The 2017 game was recognized by CBS Sports and Sports Illustrated as one of the best bowl games this season.
