If you have been asking for warmer temperatures then you've been enjoying the weather all week and will likely love the weekend! Thanks to another sunny day temperatures this afternoon will climb into the low to mid 90s across central and south Alabama. We'll go from hot to mild tonight as lows fall into the mid 60s.
Our weather remains dry and fair through Mother's Day Weekend. Saturday and Mother's Day Sunday will feature lots of sunshine and even warmer temperatures. Highs both days will likely skyrocket into the mid 90s for most of the area.
Yes temperatures that high can be uncomfortable, but thankfully the entire day will not be that way. Saturday morning will be nice, starting off in the mid 80s and warming up into the 80s by lunchtime. Good news is you're in and around Montgomery and headed to the Eastchase Farmers Market.
After a spicy afternoon, you may want some spicy food. Another big event taking place in Montgomery is Taco Libre. This outside event is thankfully taking place during the evening and the nighttime hours. So yes it will still be warm, but temperatures will be on a slow decline through the duration of the event.
After the weekend a broad area of moisture out of the Gulf will track north providing an increased chance of rainfall. I think much of next week looks soggy for Alabama and in turn slightly cooler. Scattered showers and a few storms will be possible each day next week with afternoon highs closer to normal in the mid to upper 80s.
