LEE COUNTY, AL (WSFA) - On Saturday, animal owners and lovers gathered at Kiesel Park for the Lee County Humane Society's Bark at the Park.
"We are out celebrating responsible dog ownership. We are trying to find adopters for some of our sweet dogs and baby kittens who still need homes, and we are just out here having a good time with our four-legged friends," said Lee County Humane Society Outreach and Development Coordinator Mary Wynn Kling.
The event is a joint effort between the Lee County Humane Society and the city of Auburn. Many vendors are offering their services, making this event a good time for both the dogs and their owners.
"Pet Vet is here microchipping, we have people selling wooden doll houses and all kinds of dog accessories, clothes, home fragrance, a little of everything," said Kling.
The event is held once every spring.
If you missed out on Saturday's event, you can always visit the Lee County Humane Society to make a donation or to find a new furry friend.
