MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A group wants to see change on the Montgomery Public School board, and they are raising funds to make it happen.
MGM Next held a fundraiser Monday night for the "Expect More for Montgomery Public Schools" campaign. The group does not support a candidate, but they are raising money so they can be part of the change of leadership by helping with advertisement, mailing, and voting events.
"The board is definitely one of the issues that's been identified, and making sure that those five seats are filled by capable, competent people who are engaged, and ensure that the changes happen that need to happen," said Brandon Taylor, chairman of MGM Next.
Leaders hope to have events throughout the campaign season.
