ALEXANDER CITY, AL (WSFA) - An update on a story we brought you Monday night on WSFA 12 News.

Alex City police say since our story on the string of burglaries of storage units, the department has received an additional 15 calls from people wondering if this man could be responsible for breaking into their storage units. Police say 36-year old Mark Oldham will face multiple charges of burglaries of allegedly breaking into storage units in Alex City, Millbrook, Wetumpka, Prattville and Walker County.

Investigator Drew Machen says it's too early to connect the new reports of breakins to Oldham.

"It's too early, but it does give us an opportunity to reach out to those jurisdictions and swap notes and share our information from our cases," said Alex City police investigator Drew Machen.

Mark Oldham remains in the Etowah County jail on suspected drug charges.
