MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Montgomery Clean City Commission is looking for volunteers to help with a school cleanup program this summer.

The program, called Packed to A.C.T., will give 23 Montgomery Public Schools schools a makeover, including murals, indoor painting, and outdoor landscaping. Every MPS school was given the opportunity to apply.

The mural painting project will be done on Saturday, June 23 from 9 a.m. to noon, and will be a "paint-by-number" style project. The indoor painting involves touching up and attention to detail and will be held on Saturday, July 21 from 9 a.m. to noon. The outdoor landscaping will involve spreading pine straw and sprucing up school grounds, and it will take place anytime between July 23 and Aug. 3.

For more information about the project, call the MCCC at 334-625-2175.
