PRATTVILLE, AL (WSFA) - Investigators with the Prattville Police Department have identified the last of three suspects in a March 3 store theft as a juvenile.
CrimeStopperes says within two hours of releasing photos and video of the final suspect, a family member recognized him and informed police they were bringing him to authorities. His name is not being released because of his age.
Authorities say Antanyshia Breshae Dawson, Licedric Knite Dawson, and the juvenile walked into the Belk store shortly before 2 p.m. on March 3.
During the course of their time inside the store, the Dawson duo helped the juvenile, dressed in a gray hoodie, conceal store merchandise in a backpack. The three then separated and the juvenile walked out the door without paying.
Store employees asked him to come back inside, and he returned. A Loss Prevention Officer and other employees tried to detain the suspect until police could arrive.
While the Dawsons are facing 4th-degree theft of property charges, the juvenile will face a 3rd-degree robbery charge, a felony, after striking the LPO and trying to leave.
