After an exceptionally busy last three days, our weather takes a turn toward a more normal pattern starting Thursday.
While scattered showers and storms will still be possible (mainly into the afternoon), the overall risk for additional flash flooding is low. Highs will start to climb toward 90° today and into the low 90s into the weekend.
Going back to our rain potential, the heat and humidity will make for a rather unstable atmosphere over the next few days. Any storms that do develop and remain organized could be strong, dropping locally heavy rain. The difference will be these storms are moving in and out quickly instead of training over the same areas. Expect Summer-like heat to headline our weekend. Afternoon highs into the low 90s will give way to "feels like" temps closer to 100°. The lake sounds good!
