Sun Belt announces 5 kick times for Trojans' 2018 season

TROY, AL (WSFA) -

Several game times have been announced for the Troy Trojans for this upcoming football season. Thursday the Sun Belt Conference announced five kick times, including the Trojans' season opener against Boise State.

A kick time of 5 p.m. Central Standard Time has been set for the Troy-Boise State opener in Veterans Memorial Stadium. That game will draw a national audience as it will be broadcast on ESPNU.

The Trojans' Sept. 8 home game against Florida A&M has been scheduled for 6 p.m. It will be an early start in the Sept. 15 Nebraska-Troy contest. The Huskers and Trojans will kick at 11 a.m. on the Big Ten Network in Lincoln.

The Trojans will appear on ESPNU again Oct. 4, a Thursday, for a 6:30 p.m. showdown against Georgia State.

The final game time announced was the South Alabama-Troy contest. The Battle for the Belt will kick from Ladd-Peebles Stadium Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m. on ESPN 2.

The Trojans will carry the nation's fourth-longest active winning streak into their season opener. The Trojans finished 11-2 last season and defeated North Texas in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.
