Faulkner's Reese Cooley named NAIA Second Team All-American

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (Faulkner Athletics) - Faulkner's Reese Cooley has been named an NAIA second team All-American the home office announced this afternoon.

The senior outfielder from Jacksonville, Florida, helped lead the Eagles to a 54-9 record and their sixth consecutive NAIA World Series appearance this season.

Cooley was also named the Southern States Athletic Conference Player of the Year and was a two-time league Player of the Week selection.

He batted .385 over 57 games while knocking in 51 runs on 69 hits which included a team-high 15 homer runs and 13 doubles. Cooley also scored 64 runs of his own and stole 17 bases on 19 attempts.
