MONTGOMERY CO., AL (WSFA) -

The Montgomery Humane Society is offering half-price kitten adoptions to help alleviate overcrowding.

Normally, adopting a kitten costs $100, but the humane society is currently charging only $50. Cats over six months cost $50 as well, and cats over 6 years old cost $30.

The humane society currently has 32 kittens, seven of which have already been spayed or neutered and have received the age-appropriate vaccines and a microchip. There are also 25 unaltered kittens up for adoption.

Kittens under two pounds are not eligible for surgery but can be fostered within the county until they are heavy enough to receive the appropriate operations.

More information is available on the Montgomery Humane Society Facebook page or by calling 334-409-0622.
