A busy afternoon on radar is finally (slowly) starting to settle down. Leftover thunderstorms are starting to rain themselves out. Through 8pm, we can't rule out a few stronger cells. But the declining trend will continue into the night. Mild and muggy conditions drop lows into the lower 70s.
It's a similar forecast Sunday. We start partly cloudy and hot and humid conditions develop. Many will pop into the lower 90s by afternoon before a fresh round of scattered showers and thunderstorms ignite. Like today, instability values will be very high. That will support locally strong to severe storms with small hail and strong winds at times. Expect frequent lightning as well.
Humid conditions will supports an active workweek ahead with daily rounds of scattered thunderstorms.
