A fairly typical Summer pattern continues across Alabama each day this week. Each day will start in the upper 60s to lower 70s and mainly dry weather in the mornings. But, by midday and especially into the afternoon and early evening, a healthy scattering of showers and storms will develop.
It won't rain on everyone.
It won't rain all day.
But, where it rains, it could rain very hard; the most intense storm cores will produce gusty wind, ferocious lightning and perhaps even some small hail.
The coverage of rain each day will be in the 40-60% range.
And, of course, it wouldn't be a typical Summer weather pattern if it didn't include some heat. Afternoon temperatures each day will reach the 88-94 degree range, and the humidity will make it feel even hotter.
The long, hot Alabama Summer is upon us!
