AUBURN, AL (WSFA) - The Alabama Department of Commerce has scheduled emergency meetings for employees who were let go this week at MasterBrand Cabinets

The meetings are set for next Monday and Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m. at the Hotel at Auburn University Conference and Dixon Center on College Street in Auburn. Commerce leaders say the meetings will focus on topics ranging from unemployment benefits to training scholarships. A second meeting on both days will begin at 2 p.m.

There will also be a job fair for those employees at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

MasterBrand Cabinets said it had no choice but to lay off more than 400 employees due to 'market conditions and changing consumer tastes.'
