Montgomery man arrested in TX; found with drugs, loaded firearm

LUBBOCK COUNTY, TX (WSFA) -

A Montgomery man was arrested in Texas June 6 after he was pulled over for a traffic violation. According to Texas Department of Public Safety Lt. Bryan Witt, Andrew Pugh was found with nearly five pounds of meth, THC wax and a loaded gun in his possession.

According to Witt, Pugh was traveling from Arizona back to Alabama when he was stopped on U.S. Highway 84 near Slaton, Texas. The trooper that stopped him suspected criminal activity and searched Witt's motorcycle.

Pugh was immediately taken into custody and placed in the Lubbock County Jail. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of a weapon.
