MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

One man is dead and another is recovering after a shooting in Montgomery early Friday morning.

According to Capt. Regina Duckett, just after midnight officers were called to the 1600 block of Dale Drive on a call of a shooting. When officers arrived they found Timothy Martinez, 25, and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Duckett says another victim was also found at the scene with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The man was taking to a local hospital for treatment.

An initial investigation indicates the shooting stemmed from an argument between multiple people who knew each other.

Duckett says no one has been arrested and the department has begun investigating this shooting as a homicide.

No additional information has been released.
