MACON CO., AL (WSFA) - Work has begun Monday on an 8.4 million dollar project on Interstate 85 in Macon county.
The work is taking place at the Montgomery County line and extend all the way to the Lee County line. The Alabama Department of Transportation says crews will be widening two northbound bridges, one southbound bridge, and installing cable guardrails throughout the corridor.
the work will run from 7 p.m. To 6 a.m. On Sundays through Thursdays. The entire project is expected to be finished by fall 2019
