12 Talk: Fourth of July events across Alabama

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - This year July 4 falls on a Wednesday, but celebrations across the WSFA 12 News viewing area are already going on. Find the ones nearest you and celebrate with your community!

June 21

Tallassee: 4th Annual Patriotic Celebration

Live music, a patriotic slideshow and an Iwo Jima flag-raising reenactment will take place at the Mount Vernon Theatre at 7 p.m.

June 29

Clanton: Annual Peach Jam Jubilee

A festival celebrating Independence Day and Chilton County peaches will start at 5 p.m. at Clanton City Park and a fireworks show will take place at dark.

Grove Hill: Grove Hill Independence Day Celebration

Family activities will begin at 4 p.m. on Park Street and a fireworks show will start at 9 p.m.

June 30

Dothan: Fireworks at the Fairgrounds

Starting at 4 p.m., food, games and live entertainment will be at the National Peanut Festival Grounds. A fireworks show will begin at 9 p.m.

Florala: 148th Masonic Celebration

Food and family fun will be found at 514 Shore Dr. from 4 p.m. A fireworks show will begin at 9 p.m.

Fort Rucker: Fort Rucker Wiregrass Freedom Fest 2018

Rides, food, crafts and family activities will be at Fort Rucker from 4 p.m. A fireworks show will begin at 9 p.m.

July 3

Montgomery: The Stars in the Park Montgomery Independence Day Celebration 

The Blount Cultural Park will host live music, food, family fun and fireworks. Activities begin at 6 p.m. with the fireworks show beginning at 9 p.m.

Samson: Fireworks at the Field

Enjoy hot dogs, drinks, popcorn, snow cones and live music at the Samson Recreation Park from 6 p.m. A fireworks show will begin at 9 p.m.

July 4

Alexander City: Annual 4th of July Blast

A celebration with live music will begin at 5:30 p.m. and a fireworks show will begin at 9 p.m.

Auburn: Auburn 4th of July Celebration

Live entertainment and family activities will take place at Duck Samford Stadium at 6 p.m. Fireworks will begin at 9 p.m.

Demopolis: Freedom on the River

A family celebration and fireworks show will take place at the Demopolis City Landing at 5 p.m. Fireworks will begin at dark.

Greenville: Celebrate America

A patriotic program will take place at the Gulf State Park Pier. A firework show will begin at 9 p.m.

Headland: 4th of July Fireworks

A fireworks show at Douglas Park will begin at dark.

Lake Jordan: 4th of July Boat Parade

Decorated boats will tour the lake from 4 p.m.

Lake Martin and Eclectic: Fireworks over Lake Martin

A fireworks show over the Kowaliga Bay area will begin at dark.

Montevallo: Independence Day 1776

Historically themed family activities will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the American Village and a fireworks show will begin at dark.

Montgomery: Baseball and Fireworks

The Montgomery Biscuits will play at the Riverfront Stadium at 6:35 p.m. and a fireworks show will begin at the end of the game.

Montgomery: Maxwell AFB Patriot Fest

Easton Corbin and Thompson Square will perform at a patriotic festival for those with base access. Food vendors and carnival games will be available starting at 3 p.m. Concerts start at 7 p.m. with a laser show after dark.

Opp: July 4th Celebration 2018

Family activities, swimming and picnicking will take place at Frank Jackson State Park from 10 a.m. A fireworks show will begin at dark.

Pike Road: SummerFest 2018

A parade through historic downtown Pike Road will begin at 9:30 a.m. and live entertainment and family activities will take place at The Waters community at 4:30 p.m. Fireworks will begin at 9 p.m.

Prattville: Prattville Independence Day Celebration

A parade will travel through Downtown Prattville at 9 a.m. Barbecue will be sold at 10 a.m. at Pratt Park and family activities and live music will begin at 6 p.m. A fireworks show will start at dark.

Troy: City of Troy 4th of July Celebration

A patriotic program and fireworks show will begin at 8:30 p.m. at Veteran's Memorial Stadium.

Tuscaloosa: Celebration on the River

A family celebration will begin at 6 p.m. at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater. Fireworks will begin at 8 p.m.

Wetumpka: 4th of July Celebration 2018

Gold Star Park will host a fireworks show beginning at 8:30 p.m.

July 7

Tuskegee: 10th Annual Little Texas Pyro Fireworks Show

Supper and singing will take place at Williams Chapel United Methodist Church at 5 p.m. A fireworks show will begin at 8:30 p.m.
