Lee joined WSFA 12 News in June 2018. Originally from Amelia Island, FL, she attended the University of Florida where she studied meteorology, climatology and geography.

Her passion for weather started young, and her desire to become a meteorologist was piqued by the 2004 hurricane season. While attending UF, she covered three hurricanes (Irma, Matthew and Hermine) as part of the Florida Public Radio Emergency Network. Her Irma coverage earned her a second-place finish in a national weather cast competition through the Broadcast Education Association's Festival of Media Arts. She also worked as a forecaster for WUFT and WRUF while in school.

Always eager to be an ultimate weather nerd, Lee is now pursuing her master's degree in Applied Meteorology through Mississippi State University. When she's not busy forecasting or studying, her hobbies include paddle boarding, SCUBA diving, cheering for the Gators and taking her "foodie" title very seriously. She is very excited to be in Alabama and explore her new state!
