LEE COUNTY, AL (WSFA) - The Lee County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man linked to a burglary of a business in the area.
The sheriff's office got an alarm activation from the Stage Coach Package business located on U.S. Highway 29 North last Saturday and found the front door of the business forced open.
According to to the sheriff's office, the business owner reported multiple cartons of cigarettes and bottles of liquor stolen during the burglary. During the investigation, deputies found information that linked the suspect to the crime.
Jason Eric Woodall, 42, of Opelika, was arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, and third and fourth-degree theft of property.
According to the sheriff's office, Woodall has also been linked to a burglary of the same business in August 2016 and the burglary of another business located on U.S. Highway 80 in Macon County last Tuesday.
He has been placed in the Lee County Detention Facility on an $8,500 bond.
