2 dead after U.S. 331 crash outside Montgomery

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, AL (WSFA) - Two men were killed in a crash outside of Montgomery Sunday evening.

According to Cpl. Jesse Thornton with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, state troopers worked the two vehicle crash on U.S. 331 near the 82 mile marker, about 16 miles south of Montgomery. Thomas James Barnes, 57, of Ramer died when the 1974 Chevrolet pickup he was driving collided with a 2004 Mitsubishi Galant. He was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, 22-year-old Houston Louis Gill of Meridianville, was also pronounced dead at the scene.
