NORWOOD, Mass. An Army captain who grew up in Massachusetts was killed in Iraq when a roadside bomb detonated near his Humvee.The Defense Department said yesterday that 34-year-old Captain Joel Cahill died Sunday in Ad Dawr, Iraq.Cahill had been assigned to the Army's First Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment in Fort Benning, Georgia. His wife, Mary, and their two young daughters live in Fort Benning.A family member said Cahill loved being in the Army and had won several awards, including the Purple Heart and Bronze star.
