Hot Stove Report: Devil Rays Ship former Biscuit to Padres

The Tampa Bay Devil Rays, parent club to Montgomery's Biscuits, shipped disappointing pitcher and former Biscuit Dewon Brazelton to the San Diego Padres for 3B Sean Burroughs.

Brazelton was the Rays' first pick in 2001 but continued to disappoint in 2005 with a 1-8 record and 7.61 ERA for the big club.

The pitcher made one appearance for the Biscuits in 2005 after he refused to report to Triple A Durham in May 2005.

Sean Burroughs hit .251 for the Padres with one home run and 17 RBIs but is a career .282 hitter.
