Rural church leaders in Autauga County are being asked to attend meetings about security.
The four meetings will be held in the county over the next two weeks as a response to the string of 10 church arsons in rural Alabama. The meetings were set up by Sheriff Herbie Johnson and retired state fire marshal John Robison. The sheriff said the meetings will look at overall church security. Issues such as preventing burglary and vandalism also will be discussed. The meetings are open to the public, and ministers are urged to attend.
