A fire has destroyed a Christian-themed business in Tuscaloosa. It broke out Friday night, only hours after another fire at a Methodist ministry on the University of Alabama campus.
Authorities said Saturday they don't know if either fire was linked to a string of 10 church arsons in Alabama.
Officials said a fire began about 10:40 p.m. in a warehouse where Christian-themed clothing was produced. The building, owned by Multi Marketing Incorporated, also housed a religious phone bank operation.
Earlier in the day, a fire damaged the chapel of Alabama's Wesley Foundation, a campus ministry of the United Methodist Church. The cause of the fires has not been determined.
Federal agents investigating the 10 church arsons say the campus fire was near the chapel altar where candles were burned in a Thursday night service.
