North Alabama Fire Kills Two Firefighters

Officials are calling a news conference Wednesday morning to discuss the fire the killed two firefighters in Moulton, Alabama.

The firefighters died when the wall of a building that had caught fire earlier in the day collapsed on top of them. Lawrence County Coroner Greg Randolph pronounced the two dead at the scene. Their names have not been released as of this story.

Huntsville television news station WHNT TV reported that fire crews were dousing hot spots at Outdoor Parts and Service Incorporated when the collapse occurred.

Moulton Fire Chief Keith Vinson told the Florence Times Daily that his department received a call about a fire at the business around 5:30 p.m. and it was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived.
