Industrial Mishap Puts Worker in Hospital, Second in as Many Weeks

MONTGOMERY, Ala. --  An employee injured in an industrial accident at a Greenville plant is in a coma. Greenville Mayor Dexter McLendon said 20-year-old Brandon Hall suffered a head injury Tuesday at the Hwashin American metal stamping plant. Its unclear how the accident occurred. Hall was treated at a Greenville hospital and was transferred to Baptist Medical Center East in Montgomery.

It was the second accident in a week at the plant. 29-year-old Michael Mitchell of Georgianna died February 28th when he was pinned between a roll of steel and another material.

The Hwashin facility manufactures body parts for the Hyundai auto assembly plant in Montgomery.

The workplace accidents are under investigation.
