Montgomery Unites in Prayer Service

Songs celebrated every branch of the military while prayers lifted up service men and women. This was all a part of a community-wide service organized by Taylor Road Baptist Church at Montgomery's Robert E. Lee High School.

"I just feel for those who have left their families behind," said Barry Taylor. "The worst part is to know you're in danger and not know what your family is going through."

The service attracted a few hundred people. Many of them reflecting back on the past few weeks. "We've all been caught up in this and we're aware of what so many people have gone through and we feel for them," said Ann Collister.

The gathering also honored the area's public servants. "I feel such love and appreciation for them," said Margaret Levy. "I think our hearts have gone out to our firemen and policemen like it never had before.''
