MONTGOMERY, Ala. Police believe they know who murdered a 28-year-old Montgomery man last night. According to Lieutenant Huey Thornton, a department spokesman, detectives issued a capital murder warrant today for 31-year-old Leon Carmichael Junior, also of Montgomery.Thornton said he's being sought in connection with the shooting death of Judge Jackson. The victim was shot in the head and chest as he sat in a car on a west Montgomery street.It happened shortly before 8 p-m.The motive is unclear, but police believe Jackson and Carmichael had been involved in an ongoing dispute.The homicide was Montgomery's ninth of the year.
