Wings Sold

A group of investors headed by State Representative Perry O. Hooper, Jr. has bought the Montgomery Wings baseball team.

The management group is called the Montgomery Wings Management Group, LLC as is composed of the following members (Their positions with the Group are in bold print):

Perry O. Hooper, Jr.:  Chairman.  Vice President of Corporated Development, Palomar Insurance Corporation of Montgomery.

William Barry:  Co-Chairman of the Finance Committee.  President, AmeriFirst Bank of Montgomery.

Len Skipper:   Co-Chairman of the Finance Committee.  Chief Operating Officer, Palomar Insurance Corporation of Montgomery.

Robert Jones:  Chairman of the Marketing and Sales Committee.  President and CEO, Ready Built Transmissions of Montgomery.

Louis Thornton, Sr.:  Co-Chairman of the Player Development Committee and on the Stadium Improvements Committee.  Owner and President, Thornton Construction Company of Montgomery.

Dr. David Knapp:  Co-Chairman of the Player Development Committee.  Montgomery Physician.

Stacy Marable:  Chairman of the Stadium Improvements Committee.  President and CEO, Contex Construction Company of Northern and Central Alabama.

Noopie Cosby:  Chairman of the Government Relations Committee and on the Sales and Marketing Committee.  President of Cosby Company of Selma and Montgomery.

Frank Schilleci:  Chairman of the Stadium Operations Committee.  Owner and President of Bama Budweiser of Montgomery.

Ron Boyce:  Chairman of the Technology Committee.  President of Systems Connections, Inc. of Duluth Georgia.

Randy Rushton:  Will serve on the Finance Committee.  Partner in the investment banking firm of the Frazer Lanier Company of Montgomery.

Dick King:  President of NABA Sports, a veteran of over 50 years in professional baseball and the founder of the All-American Association.

Norb Eckel - Vice President of NABA Sports, a veteran of over 25 years in professional sports, and President of the All-American Association.

Perry O. Hooper, Sr.:  Chairman of the Legal Affairs Committee.  Former Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court.
