Avid Golfers Come To Prattville To The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail

To say people are constantly getting a little teed-off in Prattville is an understatement. There are more tee times in this town weekly than in all of London. This tee time is also proper, but it involves a little white ball, and three beautiful courses.

The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail has courses around the state of Alabama including Prattville. Golfers WSFA 12 talked to say they enjoy them because they are 'pretty courses" and because, "It's a huge escape."

The Robert Trent Jones Capitol Hill features three courses, including the Senator, the Legislator and the Judge. Mike Canham says the courses, "....put Alabama on the map." Mike and Gwen Canham make it out to the Prattville courses at least 3 times a week.  Mike Canham says, "The nice thing about playing as a couple is that you are not against each other, but the two of you against the course."

The Canham's play for fun, while Frank Johnson plays to win, and he does. Johnson just took home the Alabama State Senior Amateur Title. He says, "These golf courses are set up for the avid player or the more experienced with so many different t-boxes." The pros know Capitol Hill as well. The Nationwide Golf Tour has been played here several years and the LPGA is headed this way, but don't let that intimidate you. The courses are for public use.

If you want to book a tee time for any course of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail call 1-800-949-4444.
