Ozark Parent Attacks Teacher in School Parking Lot

OZARK, Ala. (AP) - A 52-year-old Ozark woman is accused of beating and kicking a teacher at Carroll High School. Police Chief Eddie Henderson said Jacqueline Martin allegedly assaulted the teacher Monday afternoon in a school parking lot. He said the teacher, whose name was withheld, was attacked about 3:45 p-m.

Martin, who was charged with assault yesterday, posted a one-thousand dollar bond and was released from the Dale County Jail.

Henderson said its unclear what led to the fight, but it was determined that Martin was upset with something the teacher did that affected her child, who attends the high school.

The teacher suffered minor injuries.
