Industrial projects announced for Monroe County

MONROEVILLE, Ala. - Governor Riley visited Monroe County Tuesday to help announce two industrial projects that will create jobs in the south Alabama county.

A new company, Independence Renewable Energy Corporation, will build a biodiesel refinery at Claiborne that will employ ten people.

International Sign and Design in the Monroeville announced the company is expanding its sign production plant in Monroeville and will add 130 to 180 jobs over the next two years.
