Debate Moderator Prepares for Monday Night's Event

Candidates for governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general are taking part in the first and only televised debate before next week's election.

The event starts at 7 and can be seen on Alabama Public Telvision.

Governor Bob Riley and Lieutenant Governor Lucy Baxley will debate for the first hour. Then Jim Folsom and Luther Strange will debate at 8. They're followed by Attorney General Troy King and John Tyson at 8:30.

WSFA 12 News sat down with Jay Rye, who will serve as moderator of Monday's debates as he prepared for the big event.
