ZACHARY, La. (AP) - It took four men, a bunch of rope, and a pickup truck to pull a nearly one thousand pound cow from a swimming pool in Zachary, Louisiana.
The cow was not injured.
East Baton Rouge Parish Animal Control worker Wayne Bielitz says thankfully, the cow was in the pool's shallow end.
Bielitz says a homeowner called police after discovering the cow stuck in the pool around 7:20 a-m.
The cow somehow got out of a nearby pasture and fell into the pool.
The owner of the cow was cited for having an animal-at-large. He was issued a misdemeanor citation that carries a fine of up to 500 dollars.
