Cranberry Spice Bars Ingredients:
1 (18.25 oz.) package spice cake mixing
1 Stick Margarine
1 (14 oz.) can Sweetened Condensed Milk
3 medium eggs
1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Powered sugar (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In large bowl, cut margarine into dry spice cake mix until crumbly. Reserve 1 1/2 cups, spread rest of mixture into a 9"x13" pan. Bake for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, eggs and cranberry sauce. Stir in 1/2 cup reserved mixture. Spread over prepared crust. Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup of reserved mixture and pecans. Bake an additional 40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool and cut into bars. Store tightly covered in the refrigerator. Makes 3 -4 dozen.
