SHORTER, Ala., Jan. 12, 2007 -- Dr. Charles Woernly, Alabama Assistant State Health Officer for Disease Control and Prevention says 23 dogs have died at Victoryland greyhound park.
The deceased animals have been taken to veterinary schools in Tuskegee and Auburn. Test results are not expected until the middle of next week. According to Woernly, the dogs do not appear to be diseased.
