Horseback Riders Find Man Dead

Two horseback riders in Columbiana found a man who had been shot dead slumped over in a pickup truck that was still running. The men came upon the truck while riding on Horton Farm Road just outside the city limits Saturday.

The Shelby County Coroner's Office says 46-year-old Willie Earl Bedford died from a gunshot wound. Sheriffs investigators are treating the death as a homicide.
