Blood Needed to Help Storm Victims

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is asking Alabamians to roll up their sleeves to help the victims of Thursday's tornadoes.

LifeSouth supplies Medical Center Enterprise and hospitals in Dothan, where many of those injured in the storms were taken.

The hospitals are asking for more blood supplies, especially Type O, which is needed for emergency patients.

Alabamians are asked to volunteer to donate blood in the coming days. For information on donor centers and blood drives, call toll free 888-795-2702 or visit www.lifesouth.com.

You can also make cash donations to the American Red Cross by contributing directly or through Friday's WSFA 12 News Disaster Relief Drive. Tune in to WSFA 12 News from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for more information.
