Governor Riley's office has agreed to a contract with an Omaha, Neb. company to create a federally mandated statewide voter registration database.
Riley said Tuesday the about $6.2 million contract is being awarded to Election Systems and Software. A federal judge put Riley in charge of developing the list after former Secretary of State Nancy Worley missed a federally mandated deadline. U-S District Judge Keith Watkins gave Riley until August 31 to complete the task.
